Questions & Answers: Emanuel Kiserlovski

Interview with an ontime Close2-Carrera-Gi-Esse rider Emanuel Kiserlovski (Meridiana-Kamen).

Bringacafe: Emanuel, what’s your story with cycling, how did you came up to this sport?

EK: My whole family is in cycling, actualy my father was cyclist so I was living with this sport since i was born. I just started to train in a team in Rijeka. Few years after me brother did the same, so we are all now in cycling.

BringaCafe: You raced for a hunagrian team Close2-Carrera-Gi-Esse in 2012. How important was this team in your development?

EK: Yes, i was in Close2-Carrera-Gi-Esse team. I started a season in team Loborika Favorit, but after few months the team bankrupted. Ferenc called me and gave me the chance to keep the season riding in his team. Im verry grateful for that. Organisation in team was great, Ferenc was giving his best to give riders best conditions. We were part of some great races so i made few good results. I was satisfied at the end of the season.

BringaCafe: How was the step from the hungarian team to the Meridiana-Kamen?

EK: This is a bit different team than Close2. At that time Close2 was elite team and Meridiana was continental.  Meridiana is half croatian – half italian team, we take a grat races, i think the team is groving every year.

BringaCafe: You’ve had one third place (national Championship Croatia) and many other good results. What are your best memories from 2013?

EK: Season 2013. Was ok... im satisfied but i feel i could do better. I had few bad moments in that period. Most of the job i did for my teammate Patrik Sinkewitz so i didnt have a lot of chance to do my own results. Best memories are on the Italian races where i was in a quite good shape. Also national championship was a good test for second part of season.

BringaCafe: Was there a race that left you disappointed?

EK: In sport you always have rise and fall. In 2013 was few of them. Im most sorry for Tour of Slovenia where i had few bad moments and was acctualy in great shape, also i was very sorry for world championship were i shoud compet, i was preparing long and few days before i found out that other rider goes instead...

BringaCafe: Please descirbe your team.

EK: Meridiana Kamen is half italian half croatian team with center in italian town Poola in reggio of Campagnia. It is tipical continental team, we have two machanics, two masseur, two sport directors and director of the team. Main sponsors are one italian family, company Kamen from Croatia and Guercioti bikes. We have 11 riders and few are good individuals. We take races in whole Europe, this year even further. Our Guercioti bikes with Campagnolo record 11 equipement are great.

BringaCafe: What will be your goals for 2014?

EK: My goals are to go on world championship and reach good results on as many races.

BringaCafe: One more question: how does a normal day looks like for you, when you’re not on the bike? What are your hobbies?

EK: I live in Rijeka, town by the sea, i am married, live normal family life. My wife and I are expecting our first baby. My day withouth bike is rare maybe once a week but than it is just normal day with little longer stay in bed, breakfast, shopping, walk, chill out with friends. In the evening watch a good movie and early bed.

BringaCafe: Thank You and good luck to the new season.

EK: Thank you too it was a pleasure for me.
